Waivers let you collect acknowledgements, consent forms, and supporting documents from customers before they attend an activity. You can require waivers at the time of booking or allow customers to complete them later.

How waivers work

  1. You create a waiver template with the fields and content you need.
  2. You link the waiver to one or more activities.
  3. When a customer books the activity, they are prompted to complete the waiver.
  4. Completed waivers are stored against the booking and accessible from the bookings dashboard.

Create a waiver

1

Open the waiver builder

Navigate to your waivers section and select Create Waiver.
2

Add content blocks

Build your waiver using content items — text blocks, checkboxes, signature fields, and file upload fields.
3

Link to activities

Assign the waiver to the activities that require it. Customers booking those activities are prompted to complete the waiver during checkout.

Waiver content types

Content typeDescription
TextStatic text shown to the customer, such as terms and conditions or safety instructions
CheckboxA tick box the customer must check to confirm agreement
SignatureA digital signature field
File uploadA field where customers can attach documents — see file uploads for supported formats and size limits

Required fields

When you add a question to your waiver — including text, long text, multiple choice, multi-select, checkbox, date, and file upload fields — you can toggle it as required. Required questions must be completed before the customer can submit the waiver. Use this to ensure you always collect critical information like medical declarations or proof of qualifications.

Send a waiver to customers

You can manually send a waiver to one or more customers directly from the waivers dashboard — useful when you need someone to complete a waiver outside of the normal booking flow.
1

Open the waiver dashboard

Navigate to the waivers section of your dashboard.
2

Select the waiver and recipients

Choose the waiver you want to send, then search for and select the customers who need to complete it. You can select multiple customers at once.
3

Set a due date

Pick a due date for the waiver. This is shown to customers and helps you track overdue submissions.
4

Send

Select Send. Each customer receives a notification email with a link to complete the waiver. A summary confirms how many assignments succeeded, and flags any customers who already had the waiver assigned.
Use multi-select to send waivers in bulk — for example, to an entire group before a course starts.

Viewing completed waivers

Completed waivers are accessible from the booking details in your dashboard. You can see:
  • Whether the waiver has been completed
  • The date and time of completion
  • The customer’s responses, including any uploaded files
  • The digital signature (if required)
Check waiver completion status from the bookings dashboard before an activity starts to ensure all attendees have completed their paperwork.

File attachments

Waivers support file upload fields for collecting documents like medical certificates, photo ID, or signed paper forms. Uploaded files are stored securely and linked to the waiver submission.
Waiver file uploads have a 10 MB size limit per file. See file uploads for the full list of supported file types.

Troubleshooting

Verify that the customer is signed in — file uploads require an authenticated session. Also check that the file type and size are within the supported limits.
Confirm the waiver is linked to the correct activity. Open the waiver and check that the activity assignment is in place. Waivers are only shown for activities they are explicitly linked to.
All required fields (checkboxes, signatures, file uploads) must be filled in. Ask the customer to check for any missed fields and resubmit.
